Frequently Asked Questions

How do challenges work?
The ladder will be set Monday morning and will be located in the tennis storage building. A player is allowed to challenge another player that is up to two positions higher than they are currently. The player and the challenged player have the option of playing an 8 game pro set or a 2 out of 3 set match. If the player defeats the challenged player he shall take the spot of the challenged player and everyone else will move down one slot. (Example the number 9 player challenges the number 7 player. The number 9 player moves to the 7 – the 7 player moves to 8 and the 8 player moves to 9. If the challenged player wins then there is no movement on the ladder.

Can I earn my way into a higher team?
Absolutely! If you earn a spot you get that spot. Hard work will always be rewarded.

What days are players to schedule their private lessons?
The designated day for Varsity members is Thursday and JV1 will be Tuesdays. If a player does not have a scheduled private lesson they are to practice with the team as scheduled for that day.

Is there a practice on a day where Varsity or JV1 has an away match?
YES! We have 3 coaches this year and we plan to utilize the talents of all of them. Two coaches will be at the away match while the third will conduct practice.

Is there practice if there is a home match?
No, but you should be there to cheer on the team playing.
